Bc Minimum Wage June 2024.  — the government of british columbia is increasing the provincial minimum wage, effective june 1, 2024. In february 2024, an amendment to the employment standards act was made to ensure future increases to minimum rates will automatically be based on the previous year’s average inflation rate for bc.

Will rise from the current rate of $16.75 to $17.40 per hour, marking a 3.9% increase. This increase of 3.9% mirrors b.c.’s average rate of inflation in 2023.
